Stansbury Island and the Great Salt Lake are magical areas in Utah. As I was driving east the colors began to glow. I'm not sure I have ever run so fast to select a spot to shoot a photo. I got this one just before the color faded.

The Green River drops in from the upper center of the photograph and joins the Colorado River, coming in from the lower right of the photograph. The Colorado River continues on towards Cataract Canyon, just beyond the upper left of the image. This is a magical place.

Glen Canyon, UtahThe Cathedral In The Desert in Clear Creek Canyon along the Escalante River, tributary of the Colorado River in Glen Canyon. This sacred place was uncovered from the floodwaters behind Glen Canyon Dam (Lake Powell) in 2005, following 5 years of drought. As I write (Aug 2007) The Cathedral is again under floodwaters.
